About Chimi Rental
I know nobody reads this, but here's my story anyway
I came to America with a simple goal: to work hard and chase the American Dream. Like many, I started my career in the corporate world—long hours, endless meetings, and the constant push to climb the ladder. I carried the provider mentality proudly. Work hard, provide for my family, and one day, build something of my own.
But in 2024, life gave me a wake-up call.
I found several lumps on my leg. Within days, I was sitting in waiting rooms, scheduling ultrasounds, and going through scans. Each appointment brought a wave of fear: What if this was something serious? What if my time with my family was shorter than I thought?
At that time, my son was just one year old. Every night, I would watch him sleep, wondering if I would be healthy enough to watch him grow up. That thought hit me harder than any boardroom deadline ever could.
And yet, life didn't pause. In the middle of waiting for test results, my phone rang—twice. Two tenants. One called to say the air conditioning had gone out during the hottest part of summer. Another called, panicked, because their toilet wasn't working.
There I was, juggling hospital visits, worrying about my health, and still trying to calm tenants while chasing down contractors who didn't always show up, or worse, charged unfair prices. I remember thinking: What if the AC failure turns into an emergency? What if the tenant can't use their bathroom tonight? The stress of conflicting priorities—my health, my tenants' needs, and my family—collided all at once.
Thankfully, the results came back clear. I was healthy. The lumps weren't serious. But the experience left a permanent mark on me. Even though the medical scare was resolved, the deeper problem wasn't: the constant cycle of phone calls, emergencies, and babysitting contractors never went away.
That's when I realized something had to change.
I turned to AI—not as a gimmick, but as a solution born out of necessity. I envisioned an AI-powered property manager that could answer tenant calls instantly, filter out non-emergencies, coordinate maintenance tasks, and even follow up with contractors. Technology could take on the stress, so landlords and property managers like me could focus on what really matters: health, family, and peace of mind.
This is why our Chimi Rental AI property manager exists. It's not just about automating property management—it's about giving people their lives back.
