Users create an account at https://app.chimirental.com using email/password or social login and are then taken to a required onboarding flow before accessing the application. During onboarding, users provide their phone number and explicitly opt in to receive SMS messages by checking an unchecked, required SMS consent checkbox before any messages are sent.
The consent disclosure explains the type of messages sent (informational and transactional account and maintenance notifications), that message frequency may vary, that message and data rates may apply, and that consent is not a condition of purchase. Users may opt out at any time by replying STOP or request assistance by replying HELP.
